alina@bluesolyoga.com 954.762.6867
Alina was first introduced to yoga at the age of 15 by her mother. After her first yoga class she knew this is where she was supposed to be. She was good at it, it felt great, and it made her feel good about herself. During her first year of college she arranged her class schedule to her local yoga studio's classes which allowed her to attend 2 yoga classes a day. Yoga became part of her life and her daily routine. In Alina's 3rd year in college she moved to Des Moines, Iowa to continue her education in Cardiac Ultrasound taking a 9month hiatus from yoga. She found a local yoga studio and restarted her yoga practice. It was during this time that she realized just how important yoga was to her body, her mind and her spirit. Overcoming these obstacles, Alina began teaching yoga in Des Moines. After graduation Alina moved to South Florida, where she always spent the summers with her family. After her experience in Iowa, Alina made a life long commitment to the practice and teaching of yoga. In Florida, she discovered Hot Yoga. At first, like many people, she wondered why in the world anyone would want to do yoga in room heated to 100 degrees. She soon found out why. Experiencing Hot Yoga was the turning point for Alina’s practice. She completed the Hot Yoga Teacher Training and the Hot Vinyasa Teacher training and has been dedicated to her teaching since 2006. As her yoga journey continues, she learns something new every day about herself, her practice, and her students. She is thankful to those who have led her along this wonderful and healing path. Alina’s interest in Yoga has grown and now includes the practice of Thai Yoga Bodywork and is working towards her AcroYoga teacher training. |

From a young age, yoga has been an integral part of Emma’s life. Her father was a dedicated yogi who traveled all over the world during the 1940’s and 50’s performing and practicing acrobatic “Hand-Balancing.” Today, Hand-Balancing is a popular and accessible practice that is known as “Acro-Yoga.” Emma was first introduced to heated yoga in 1990 when her father began to guide her through Asana practice in the community sauna. Although they had been practicing together long before that, it was during that time that she had a conscious awakening and experienced a real transformation in yoga. Together, they practiced various styles of sitting meditation, read the yogic scriptures and explored the asanas and pranayama. In 1997, her father passed away and Emma stepped into her first public yoga class, discovering Vinyasa yoga. During this time she experienced yet another awakening that led to her own independent re-discovery of yoga. Having been practicing for most her life by her father’s side, this was a pivotal turn in her practice. Vinyasa Yoga led her to Ashtanga where she deepened her practice. In 2008 Emma graduated with her 200 hour Teacher Certification from Yoga Education Institute. Her practice forms a tapestry of the various styles of yoga that have been ingrained in her throughout her life. It is a free flowing style that integrates and explores the spiritual concepts of yoga with the physical practice of asana.
